Oh no, another Dinosaur Bob goes missing!

An individual who came across this website let me know that her son's preschool's traveling Dinosaur Bob has gone missing!  He was lost June 6th at the Ft. Lauderdale airport.   If you have any information, please send an email to Natalie at natalieinredondo@adelphia.net

*NOTE: The 100$ reward described below is for the Dinosaur Bob described next. However, if you find this preschool's Dinosaur Bob (above), you'll probably get a "Thank you" card (and maybe even some cookies) from a very gracious pre-school class. And really, what better reward could there be?

Help find Dinosaur Bob and get 100$!

The tragic story of Dinosaur Bob

On a plane flight from O'Hare (Chicago) to Los Angeles (LAX) on January 13th, Dinosaur Bob was lost. I have no idea where I lost him. It may have been the parking lot, the TSA checkpoint, the terminal, or the plane. I have no idea.

This dinosaur has had his picture taken all over the US (over 25 states) and the world (4 countries). From Yosemite, Belize, to British Columbia, Bob has been there. He was to be featured on a new website I was working on similar to stories of traveling gnomes that you may have heard of. I have no idea where he came from, so he's irreplaceable.

When I lost him, he was wearing a white sweater (yes, the dinosaur has a sweater - hey, it was for the website!) that was knitted by my wife. He stands about 4" tall and his arms are springloaded to grab things. Finally, he had a Made in Korea sticker on his foot.

I am offering a 100$ reward to you or 250$ to your favorite charity. Please send me an email if you have found him: dinosaurbob@gmail.com

FAQ

Q: Is this a joke?
A: No! The "Adventures of Dinosaur Bob" website has been in the works for years. If Bob is lost, then 1000s of pictures are all for nothing!

Q: 100$! Really??
A: Yep! If you're the giving type, you can opt for 250$ to your favorite charity.

Q: What airline were you flying?
A: United

Q: What have you done to find him?
A: Everything we can think of. We've called airport lost and founds, the TSA at both O'Hare and Los Angeles, as well as baggage services at United. An ad was put on lostandfound.com. I've taken out an ad with Google. We've scoured Ebay looking for Bob or a replacement. All have come up empty.

Q: What's this about Bob being featured in the Chicago Tribune?
A: On a whim, we sent an email to one of the writers at the Tribune and they decided to do a story on it! Look at the "Q" section in the February 20th edition. Thank you Bill!

Q: Why don't you just buy another one?
A: I've tried. I have no idea where Bob came from. After I moved a couple of years ago, I was unpacking boxes and there was the dinosaur. Anyway, even if I could buy a new Bob, it just wouldn't be the same.

Q: But, what if I have Bob's twin?
A: It's not Bob, so we'd have to come up with a new name, but we'll take him! The reward is still good.

Q: How old is Bob?
A: I'm not sure. I seem to vaguely remember him stuffed in some junk drawer when I was a teenager. I'd have to say 15 years?

Q: What is Bob's favorite movie?
A: Jurassic Park of course (the first one)! He thought the other two were "cinematic swill."

Q: Where will you take Dinosaur Bob if you find him?
A: Bob always wanted to go to Costa Rica and Tahiti, so it may be one of those. Dinosaur Monument in Colorado is a possibility. Maybe a cross country road trip? Maybe to see Caviar in Europe...

Q: Is this the same Dinosaur Bob featured in William Joyce's book?
A: No. When we named our dinosaur, we had no idea that there was a book that also featured a "Dinosaur Bob." It was only when we lost out dinosaur did we find out about the book. The book is really great though, so be sure to check it out!

Q: Are you nuts?
A: No! At least not yet.
