Mabuhay! This organization is a Social/Cultural Club, which its purpose is for exploring and promoting culture and history of the countries and peoples of the United States of America and the Philippines. Furthermore, the Filipino American Cultural Society (FACS) shall develop, promote, and direct civic, cultural, educational health or athletic programs and other nonprofitable purposes, that will enable the membership to respond to the call for their active participation and make the Society be of service to the community. FACS shall also help to preserve the uniquely ethnic Filipino traditions.
FACS was founded by Mr. Felix J. Denina in 1999 and is located in Lake City, Florida with over 150 members strong. Our membership base is not solely statewide. We have members throughout the nation and also in other countries. Our members are known for the great work they do in their homes, church, community, and for our association. We are committed to finding new ways to promote, share active interest, goals, and diversify cultures amongst members.
FACS membership is open to all who are interested in the Philippines and the Filipino culture, regardless of ethnic origin.
