Stage Combat Instructional lessons for Schools.
We are available to teach what we perform. In our workshops, we start with the fundamentals of Stage Combat. Safety is of utmost concern in everything we do. We can teach how to deliver safe and effective looking punches, kicks and grappling moves. If weapons are what you’re after, we can teach anything from quarter-staves to light rapier work.
Stage Combat Demonstrations.
If you’re more interested in having something that doesn’t follow the outlines of one of our set stage shows, we can perform single/multiple fights that can be tailored to fit your special occasion. If there’s an office party that just HAS to have a fight break out, we would be more than happy to brawl for your pleasure. We are also flexible enough to fit into any theme you choose. (Old West, Renaissance, 3 Musketeers, Civil War, Roman Gladiators or Mardi Gras just as examples) We request at least 3 weeks notice to prepare costuming and choreography. Specialty Weapons can be requested, but may be limited to venue space for safety reasons. Contact us for more information.
Educational Weapons History and usage.
If the education of different weapons, how they were used and what they would look like is what you’re after AND you don’t want to have a full-fledged show, we can tailor our information to suit your needs. Lectures, demonstrations, and hands on Q&A are all available. We can set up an area or booth with the weapons we use, on display. Guests would be encouraged to ask questions about the weapons as well as be able to touch/hold them. (As safety concerns allow)
Choreography for Stage Productions/Plays
If you are producing/directing a play or stage production that requires fighting, we would be more than happy to come to your location and choreograph as well as supervise the fights throughout your production. We have choreographed fights for Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet, Othello and others as well. We have also choreographed all of the fights that take place during the day at the Maryland Renaissance Festival. (“Festival-produced” shows only) Contact us about your production needs.
Two separate 30 to 45 minute stage shows
(The Bruises Will Heal! & Reloaded!) that combine the history of weapons, how they were properly used, and fight demonstrations of what the weapons would look like when used… and if that weren’t enough… we are constantly cracking jokes and insulting one another, but NEVER the audience’s intelligence.
