Jimmy Aycock Teacher, Composer, Arranger, Pianist Extraordinaire.
An original native of Fremont, North Carolina, James "Jimmy" Aycock began his expansive musical career at 14 years old. He has been a main character on the scene in the Carolina story for over 50 years as an accomplished pianist, composer, and arranger. In addition to teaching for over 30 years in the public schools system, he was appointed by Governors Jim Martin and Jim Hunt, to serve on the North Carolina Arts Council. For such dedication to the Arts and his tireless contribution to education, accolades are long overdue.
