November Rally will be held on PC grounds on Sunday 2nd NovemberWe will be having a guest instructor, Sarah Wilkinson and we will be covering certificate, both mounted and unmounted and Pentathalon practice.

 

DECEMBER GYMKHANA   …….CHANGE OF DATE, will be second Sunday,14th DECEMBER  and the first weekend of the school holidays.  Needed to change the date due to clash with SVDC championships which conflicted with our judges and instructors who are involved in both.  More details to come but please make big not of change of date.

Please let Yvonne know if you are or are not attending so she can organsie groups and lessons

Adelaide International Horse Trials- November

if you are intereested in coming up to this wonderfull event we will be running a bus for the cross country day, please let Yvonne or Denise know if you are interested 

Located at The Yankalilla Show Grounds, Main South Rd. Yankalilla, SA

  • We meet on the first Sunday of each month (always check with our rally coordinator for any schedule changes)
  • Fun family orientated club
  • Hold regular rallies, schools, competitions
  • Large grounds with plenty of space
  • Cater for all ages and abilities including adults (beginner and advanced)

Regular Rallies

Our rallies start with line up/gear check at 9.30

We generally have flat work lessons in the morning and in the afternoon we have jumping or novelties etc (although we do cater for those who don't wish to jump)

We also may have theory lessons and demonstrations on different aspects of horse care and riding

Classes are worked out prior to the day so it is VERY important that the rally coordinator knows who can and cant attend

We have canteen facilities for lunch and drinks  

THE AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF PONY CLUB

  • To encourage young people to ride and to learn to enjoy all kinds of sports connected with horses and riding.
  • To provide instruction in riding and horsemanship and to instill in members the proper care of their animals.
  • To promote the highest ideals of sportsmanship, citizenship and loyalty, thereby cultivating strength of character and self discipline in the members.
