National Foster Grandparent Conference
Dear FGP Directors:
For those of you who attended the Conference in Oklahoma City in June I'm sure you left with many delightful thoughts. Mynan and her local arrangements group did an outstanding job of seeing that those in attendance had an educational as well as fun experience. Now it is time to begin planning for the 2009 Conference to be held in Jackson, Ms. Mary Lynn Smith and her local arrangements committee are already hard at work taking into consideration recommendations made at the Director's meeting in Oklahoma City. We have been able to maintain the same costs we have had for a number of years as we are finding more people willing and able to assist with some of the expenses. We hope you will be able to join us for an experience of a lifetime. If you are unsure as to whether or not you want to attend talk to previous attendees or obtain additional information by getting in touch with either Mary Lynn Smith or myself at the addresses listed on the "How to contact us page". The program will consist of workshops on topics which will improve your volunteers ability to work with the children they are assigned to, to entertainment of many types and tours of the area.
