The Florida Gulf Coast University Dancing Divas are a sport club activity in its third year. The Divas Team consists of 18 dancers ranging from freshman to senior class status. The team’s main focus is to support and provide energetic performances for the FGCU Division 1 Athletic Teams and the FGCU Hockey Team at select home games. Along with practices and games, the FGCU Dancing Diva’s will be found participating in community service events all over South West Florida. This past season, the FGCU Dancing Divas competed in two dance competitions for the first time in the team’s history. The Divas took home two High Gold Trophies and a 1st Place Trophy at Access Broadway in Orlando Fl and qualified for Access Broadway World Cup Nationals. The entire team will be attending Nationals in June held at The Las Vegas Hilton! The team also attented Jump Competition and Workshop in Orlando, Fl March 27-29th, 2009 and took home two High Silver Trophies!
