          Elements

There are 8 day cycles in the world of Vana'diel. These days are named by the element that rules that day. Depending on what day you plant your seeds can determine what the results of your gardening will be. There are also 7 types of crystals available in the world of Vana'diel. They, like the days of the week are named and colored like that of my little chart above. Gardening wise, you can use these crystals to feed to your plants after several days of being planted. Using crystals, and which type will also determine the outcome of your gardening. You can obtain crystals by buying them from the Auction House, or by receiving signet from any gate guard and killing monsters in an area NOT ruled by the beastmen and that is high enough lvl to give you some type of experience points (even if you only receive 12 exp, you could still have a crystal drop).

Just a note, one minute real life time is one hour Vana'diel time, so in 24 minutes you've gone through a full day game time.
