11/11/2007 Ferryhill v Redhouse (County Cup)

Ferryhill 7 - 0 Redhouse

A seven goal stunner to put Ferryhill through to the next round of the cup.

Ferryhill played Redhouse off the park as they outclassed them in every area of the game. An early goal in only the second minute of the game set the tone for the rest of the match, with 3 more goals in the last 10 minutes of the first half (1 for Nathan Ball  (26)and 2 for Vinny Gash(31,35)). The first goal should have been claimed by Vinny Gash as the keeper cleared his shot from just behind the line, however the ref judged it in the keeper's favour. Fortunately Ryan Gamsby  (2) had the presence of mind to knock it straight back into the net.

Ferryhill didn't rest on their laurels either and maintained the pressure on Redland in the second half with another early goal, this time from Adam Phillips  (39)and the rout continued with 2 more goals from Vinny Gash  (50,68).

Man of the Match was Vinny Gash with praiseworthy performances from Jordan Hilder and Nathan Ball in particular.

Well Done lads!!

4/11/2007 Norton & Stockton v Ferryhill (League Cup)

Ferryhill exited the League Cup despite being the best team on the pitch. The whole side played well in a game frustrated by near misses and, at times the feeling that they were playing against a side of 12 players (the ref being the 12th man!).

Never mind lads the Manager awarded you all man of the match for your spirit and hard work.

Adam Phillips scored our only goal  (23)

28/10/2007 Ferryhill v 21st All Stars

21/10/2007 Gateshead Cleveland Hall v Ferryhill

County Cup

GCH  1 - 2  Ferryhill

Scorers: Nathan Ball (16), Ryan Gamsby (59).

With 3 players injured and therfore no subs available, the Manager had limited options for this week's line up. Whilst the outcome was a win the team didn't play as well as they have recently and we were lucky that Gateshead didn't capitalise on their chances.

M.o.M  Nathan Ball

18/2/2007 Stockton WE v Ferryhill

Stockton WE  6  -  0  Ferryhill

Both teams played well. Went in to half time at 1--0 but Brad, the keeper who had been outstanding, reported feeling unwell and shortly into the second half the manager had to retire him from the game as he was too ill to continue. Unfortunately this left Ferryhill with only ten men and a tough task to battle on against a tough opponent.

28/1/2007 Mt. Pleasant v Ferryhill

Mt. Pleasant  3  -  1  Ferryhill

Ferryhill conceded a penalty in the first minute of the game and Mt. Pleasant capitalised on a couple of free kicks to make it 3 - 0 at half time, even though our lads were making some great play they just couldn't get one in the net.  8 minutes into the second half  Jarrett Rivers finally put one away for Ferryhill with brilliant flair.  Ferryhill piled on the pressure throughout but it just wasn't their day, even Jarrett's penalty was saved and the final score was 3  -  1.

21/1/2007 N. Aycliffe v Ferryhill

N Aycliffe  1 - 0  Ferryhill

After last week's 1-0 win against N Aycliffe, Ferryhill made a confident start having several chances at goal in the first half but without success. Both teams played really well and in the second half Aycliffe were able to scoop the goal that eluded Ferryhill. An exciting game to watch. Well done Aycliffe.

14/1/2007 Ferryhill v Newton Aycliffe SC

Ferryhill 1  -  0 N. Aycliffe SC

Both teams had to battle very strong winds in addition to each other during this game. Despite numerous attempts on goal by Ferryhill the score remained 0-0 at half time. Captain Jake Pearson picked up a heel injury and had to leave the field for treatment. Clarke Rivers scored his 6th League goal ten minutes in to the second half, which turned out to be the winner.

7/1/2007 Ferryhill v Norton & Stockton Ancients

Quarter Final of the League Cup

Ferryhill 1 -  5 Norton & Stockton

Ferryhill started strongly, immediately on the offensive, culminating in a cracking goal from defender Jonathan Baines, his first of the season, after only 4 minutes. However the jubilation was short lived as N&S levelled the game 3 minutes later. From then on N&S had a goal scoring spree putting Ferryhill out of the cup.

17/12/2006 Brinkburn v Ferryhill

Brinkburn 3  -  5 Ferryhill

If ever there was a perfect example of that old saying  "a game of two halves" then this was it.  Ferryhill dominating the first half with some great early play from Ryan Gamsby, Clarke Rivers, Jarrett Rivers and Jonna Baines.  This was rewarded after 13 minutes when Ryan laid on a beautiful cross to Clarke who put it in the net. This goal seemed to inspire last season's top scorer, Vinny Gash, to make it 2-0 within 3 minutes and 3-0 just before half time.

The change of ends found Ferryhill in bouyant mood, heightened even further by Gash completing his hat trick after just 20 seconds.  However, there was also a change to be seen from Brinkburn who came out determined not to concede a whitewash. With new found attacking play, taking Ferryhill off-guard, Brinkburn soon wiped the smiles from Ferryhill's faces with a flurry of goals to make it 4-3. Ferryhill Keeper, Brad Wilkinson made a crucial save 5 minutes from time, preventing the equalizer. Just seconds before the whistle, Brinkburn's hopes were finally 'Gashed' when Vinny slotted home his fourth goal of the day to make it 3-5 to Ferryhill.

A heart stopping end to the game, gasps of relief from the supporters and an early Xmas present for the lads.
