Ferry-Tale Farm

Ferry-Tale Farm

Ferry-Tale Farm is set on the beautiful banks of the Holston River in Surgoinsville, TN. This little farm was the sight of the Surgoinsville Ferry from the 1830's to the 1950's.

Presently we are improving the once forgotten spot to it's original splendor. Of course nothing would be splendid without horses! The original tobacco barn has been modified into a 8 stall barn with 2 goat/pony stalls, a feed room and a tack room. Many splinters, blisters and hours later the barn looks like a place for horses. The land had become very overgrown and the winding road to the ferry at the waters edge was almost impassable. This fall the land is beginning to see the sun as the shrubs, breyers, and locust are being removed. Proud as new parents, the Blount family invite you to join them at the farm for a search for arrowheads, fishing on the bank, horse related activities, and to get back to nature!     Welcome!
