ONR GP-38 1734 switches cars amongst the Cochrane Yard 08-15-05

 

The switcher poses in front of the station for this nice evening shot in Cochrane 08-15-05

The Polar Bear Express poses in front of the Cochrane station just before it heads off for its Moosonee destination. August 16, 2005.

ONR GP38 1806 shunts cars of railway ties around the yard as they pass part of the work train that consists of 2 cabooses, a loaded flatcar and 2 boxcars. August 16, 2005.

The Cochrane Shops. This is where my grandfather worked for most of his life. He worked down in London(CN), he was then transfered up to Palmerston where he worked for a while. He was once again transfered up to Iroquois Falls(ONR), and then finally he worked at this shop repairing cars for the ONR! Picture taken August 16,2005.

SD75i 2100 and GP9 1602 sit idling in the Englehart yard in the tracks between the wye. August 20, 2005.
