Even though Nehru was joking about the problem of the bees being ok, he took the nonviolence very seriously. He admired Gandhi For all his nonviolence work so kept to the nonviolence way of dealing with the bees. They both shared the goal of having India being free from the British. The Indian people honored so highly Nehru that they gave him the name "Pandit", which means teacher in Hindi.
