Who are they?

Where are they?

What is their connection?

Jeffery Stryker

Professor, Dept. of Chemistry,

University of Alberta (Edmonton).

This guy invited me to work in his lab at the right time. His gang introduced me to the world of air-sensitive organometallic synthesis.

Tom Bell

Professor, Dept. of Chemistry, University of Nevada at Reno.

Worked on a creative topic of common interest with him, namely the synthesis of unidirectional molecular rotors.

Andy Williams

Professor in Chemistry, Chemical Laboratory, University of Kent at Canterbury (department closed).

A very classy, yet reserved British physical organic chemist who I had the honor to call "colleague".*

* Deceased in January, 2007

Ed Constable

Professor in Chemistry, Dept. of Chemistry, University of Basel.

Aided my discovery that oligopyridines and metals can be fun. On my short list of people.

Henning Hopf

Professor in Chemistry, Institut fuer Organische Chemie, Technische Universitaet Braunschweig.

My doctoral research director...who invited me to Hagenring 30. He still has my deepest awe and respect!
