The Felucca Reborn Play Guide
Before beginning play on Felucca Reborn it is best for one to acquaint oneself with the features and rule set of the shard. Please keep in mind that Felucca Reborn is designed to be diverse and challenging and thus uses a rule set that encourages conflict and competition amongst its players, the Felucca rule set. Acts of aggression are legal, and the only place that offers an assurance, not a guarantee, of safety is within the protection of the town guards.

Summary of the Shard
Felucca Reborn combines Renaissance player versus player with an adapted version of Lord Blackthorn’s Revenge crafting and finally uses a custom variation of Age of Shadows player versus monster to provide a unique world that allows all play styles to find enjoyment.
Shard Specific Information
Currently the Lost Lands and other expansion maps are closed. Felucca Reborn feels that with a smaller player base its best to limit the map to better ensure player interaction. Rest assured, as the player base grows new areas of the map will be opened for player use. Until then, the entrances to the Lost Lands have been rerouted to other places on the map. One of these routes might serve as an excellent short cut for the budding adventurer, so by all means, explore!
The majority of the features that Age of Shadow’s offers have been disabled. This includes all the items that could have an impact on Renaissance player versus player (power scrolls, new weapons, etc). Felucca Reborn does however use the creatures provided by Age of Shadows to increase the enjoyment and challenge of hunting.
Aside from the unavailable items previously mentioned, there are very few blessed items on Felucca Reborn. It is believed that such items should be rare and an overabundance of such items lessens the amount of danger in the world. Clothing bless deeds are rare and item bless deeds or any variation of such (this includes insurance) will never be present on this shard. Currently, the following items are the only items that will remain with a player should he or she be visited by death: rune books, spell books, checks, and clothing that has been blessed by a clothing bless deed and says [blessed]. House deeds will not remain with your character if you die.
Player versus Player Combat
Renaissance style PvP allows for multiple approaches to combat. Choose a style you prefer and customize your character as such. There is no “power” PvP template on Felucca Reborn, so you will not be punished for choosing to be an archer hybrid or a pure mage. PvP how you want to PvP.
Melee and Ranged Skills:
Anatomy and tactics increase the damage of a melee attack, so keep that in mind when designing a template that utilizes a melee attack or a ranged weapon. As for which combat skill to use in your template, consider the special properties of each skill.
Mace fighting allows a player to deliver a crushing blow that temporarily lowers the stamina of the target thus limiting the speed at which the foe can swing his or her weapon.
Fencing allows a player to deliver a paralyzing blow that temporarily stuns the victim. The sudden immobility of a foe can benefit a fighter in a variety of ways, like stepping away from melee range to heal or to cast a spell.
Swordsmanship allows a player to deliver a concussion blow that temporarily lowers the target’s intelligence score a great deal. This limits the pool of mana that could potentially be used to damage the fighter. Also, a strong proficiency in the lumberjacking skill increases the damage dealt by axes.
Wrestling is useful for mages who wish to dodge blows that have the potential to interrupt the spells that otherwise keep a mage alive. In addition to the raw wrestling skill, a high anatomy score allows a player to deliver a stun punch similar to the paralyzing blow of a fencing weapon and a high arms lore skill allows a player to disarm his opponent’s weapon. Keep in mind the weapon falls to the targets back pack.
Magery
Magery is a versatile skill to have at ones disposal. A mage has access to a variety of spells that when used properly can all be used advantageously. Remember that the evaluating intelligence skill increases spell damage and the meditation skill increases the speed in which mana is replenished.
Inscription increases the strength of the reactive armor spell and the magic reflection spell. This added level of defense could determine the outcome of a fight.
The poisoning skill increases the strength of the poison spell. At high levels the caster can cast greater poison without fail with a small chance of casting deadly poison.
Hunting
Hunting on Felucca Reborn is both rewarding and satisfying. Staff will not reveal the spawns of dungeons or the location of other spawns. If a player would like to share his discoveries with the rest of the shard he may have his findings added to the guide. Rest assured, there are nightmare and ostard spawns scattered about the globe, so if you do a little bit of exploring you are likely to discover such creatures amongst other secrets. Also, please note that the terathan keep, trinsic passage, and ice dungeon are currently closed. They will be opened later, most likely with a quest.
Dungeons are perilous and mysterious on Felucca Reborn. An adventurer is likely to stumble upon a multitude of secrets should they frequent the dungeon enough. For instance, many dungeons contain one or more rare creature spawns. Though, that’s only one example of a secret, there are many more. If a player has discovered such a secret and would like to share it with the community, they may submit their findings to be added to this guide.
In the future, we plan on opening up the closed dungeons and making story line quests a large element of the shard. Also, expect to see an adaptation of champion creatures.
Crafting
Crafters play a vital role in the Felucca Reborn community. They provide the supplies needed by hunters and pvpers and also provide the backbone for a player run economy. Crafters have a variety of focuses.
The alchemy skill allows a player to brew potions. Alchemists mostly rely on npc vendors for their raw materials, though a much poorer alchemist could find the resources he needs on monsters. Alchemists provide essential supplies for pvp and are often poisoners as well. Elite members of the mage’s guild claim to have perfected glass blowing, though information or proof of how this is done has not yet been discovered by the public.
A blacksmith forges weapons and armor from ingots. Arms lore increases the quality of these metal items and the mining skill allows a player to mine for the necessary materials.
A carpenter can craft furniture from wood. The lumberjacking skill allows a player to gather wood by chopping at trees. This skill is often combined with tinkering to make locked boxes and trapped boxes. Some carpenters claim they can also craft items from stone, though substantial evidence of this feat has not yet been discovered.
Fletching permits a player to create bows and arrows. The lumberjacking skill provides the needed logs for a Fletcher to create his wares.
Inscription allows a player to scribe magic spells on to scrolls for use later. Scribes can also craft spell books and rune books and are particularly adept at swiftly copying books. Scrolls are easier to cast than spells and recall scrolls are often used by other players for this reason. A scribe relies on reagents like an Alchemist and most likely purchases them from an npc vendor. The inscription skill can also be used to increase the power of protective spells.
The poisoning skill allows a player to add poison to a bladed weapon. Assassins often find use poison to capitalize on their surprise attack and deal more damage at a swifter pace. The poisoning skill also increases the strength of a mage’s poison spell. Alchemy is essential to a poisoner as he must have a supply of poison potions to use.
A tailor can create clothing from clothe and can also craft leather armor that is popular with mages. A tailor can shave sheep for wool which can then be turned to clothe or buy the clothe from an npc. Hides can be bought from npcs but it is much cheaper to harvest the leather from creatures.
Tinkering allows a player to create a variety of oddities, the most frequent being locked containers. The mining skill provides the ingots necessary to craft tinkering objects. It is rumored that some evil mages have used their tinkering skills to create constructs that are capable of great destruction. These rumors have yet to shake the chains of folklore and become fact.
The uses of crafting skills are sure to expand as Felucca Reborn expands. Be confident that as a crafter, you have a variety of items to create and more to come. Also, as with any other section, if a player has something to add to the guide feel free to submit it.
Housing
There are a few things you should know before placing a house. Keep in mind that house deeds are not blessed or newbied. They are stealable and will fall to your corpse if you die, so be careful when carrying them. Also, there are no secure containers. The items within your locked down containers will not decay. This means that if someone has access to the containers in your house they can freely take whatever they can carry. So, either keep your door locked and risk losing the key when releasing it, or use tables to block your door and valuables. Excersize caution and your home will be safe.
House decay is activated. If you do not refresh your house in 30 days it will decay. Refresh your house by double clicking the house sign.
Murder
There is no statloss on Felucca Reborn. However, there are a few things that murderers should know. Unlike other shards, Buc's Den is not the "red" town. Currently, npc pirates occupy Buc's and will attack any trespassers. Murderers on Felucca Reborn can seek refuge in the city of Serpent's Hold. There is a teleporter to the island in the mountains north of the Britain Graveyard.
That’s it for the guide, good luck in your travels!
