Welcome.

Hello and welcome! My 'net name is Cirlin. It's the pseudonym I'll be using during your stay here. Thanks for coming.

This site revolves around a story of mine called The Red Garden and was created for an important Senior Presentation at school. The project involved setting up a power point, writing a report, making an easily accessible website, and presenting to the entire school. Considering my final grade was a B, I think this site served its purpose. I believe the Red Garden to be a very polished, thoroughly edited piece and It is very convenient to have the story explained in the form of a website.

Please look below for new updates. The most recent update is at the bottom of the page.

First Update

It took a while but most of the pages are up and complete, and the next things to do are as follows:

* Finish the page on editing

* Draw and post some scenes in the art page.

Not bad for a few hours work! As a sidenote, anyone who knows a little about history and a little about Communism might be tempted to draw some obvious ties to the story, based on the nature of the events that happen in it. However, this was not written with Communism in mind and was not created to make any statements regarding it. Draw your own conclusions by all means and if you would like to speak or debate, you'll find me hanging around the guestbook!

Second Update

It's February 27 and the art and editing pages aren't up yet. I have been so stressed! That's not really an excuse but it will have to do for now. But on a better note, I fixed some of the text in the actual story itself, making the size consistent and fixing some spelling errors.

Please sign the guestbook if you visit. Spamming the guestbook is indeed annoying, but it is the only way for me to know anyone visited. Signing will not take much out of your day and if you'd like you can suggest critique or scenes for me to draw.

And with that the day ends peacefully.....

Third update

The characters page has been updated to include brief biographies on the characters. Give it a look if you wish to know a little more about Nikita, Senner, Ruxandra and Borya.

I'm finishing up the journals page, despite the minor setback of having to type one-handed due to a minor case of carpal tunnel syndrome.

I have two weeks off from school and am terribly excited because it will give me the time needed to catch up on work This might be complete sooner than expected. When the editing journals are complete I'll put the second draft of The Red Garden up here for your viewing pleasure.

Fourth Update

The presentation is on Friday of this week and every spelling error on this website has been eliminated. I am also proud to report that the Red Garden story, fully edited, has now taken residence here! I am now working on short story extra called 'Amazon Fun'. I won't say much about it now because it is incomplete.

Do you want one detail about the story?

Senner kills an anaconda.

Fifth Update

Hello again! It's been several weeks since the project was shown. I did the presentation twice because the first time I got severe stage fright and was unable to move. The second time apparently went off wonderfully because I passed.

It had been so long since I logged in here to work on the site, I'd forgotten the password! Today Amazon Interests had its name changed for the better and was put up. It's more a thought than a full story but I hope you enjoy it. I did delete the guestbook, though, because no one signs it.

I am also working on another extra called Nikita's Christmas Present, which is coming along nicely. Everything Red Garden related seems almost to write itself--am I really so attached to the universe of this particular story?

Sixth Update
Months have passed since I logged in to revise but that's what I did! Every page has been edited and made stronger. It took eight hours of sitting in front of the computer to edit this entire website to my liking. The reason for this fevered revision is that a friend requested I send him a story one night. For a long time I had been intending to revisit the Red Garden anyway to make it stronger, but had never gotten around to it.

He read the story and was as satisfied, I think, as am I with this newly polished version. Although laborious, it was also amusing to go back and edit. Half the time I spent looking at the piece I was laughing at myself--did I really pen those paragraphs and call them 'decent' so long ago?

Additionally:

* Things have been moved around and merged and are now more accessible.

* Nikita's Christmas Present is finished but will not be making an appearance on this site because it is rated NC-17.

* Senner's Amazon
, the other extra story, is up on the Short Extras page. It was renamed and had a large, unnecessary bit removed.

* I am currently working on the Red Garden character drawings. Upon completion of these, the Art page will have links to my pictures. They will be hosted on my Deviant Art account which is cirlin.deviantart.com Senner will probably be the first.
