Subic Bay Housing

Binictican

The large majority of FedEx Pilots live in Binictican.  Most Binictican houses have two bedrooms, though some have three  A lot of the houses have been renovated by connecting both sides of the house (one house building has two house sides in it, so two families can live in one), doubling the size.  Not all houses look exactly the same as the pictures shown below; the pictures just show the houses with no renovations done to them, yet a lot of the houses have at least some sort of renovation done; and most of them are noticeable.  Find out more about renovations here.

Brent School Subic is in between Binictican and Subic Homes.  There is a swimming pool in Binictican as well (it is operated by Brent School, but is open to the publc) and a convenience store (Uncle Ed's).

Subic Homes

Subic Homes is another housing area, and it is right next to Binictican. The homes there are smaller, but they also range from two to four bedrooms.  Anything in walking distance from a house in Binictican is within walking distance from a house in Subic Homes, and vice-versa.  Subic Homes also has daily rentals.

Kalayaan

Kalyaan is an area right past Royal Subic, which is not in walking distance from any other housing areas. The Kalayaan houses also range from two to four bedrooms  There is a school (Casa Kalayaan), a swimming pool, and a convenience store there.

Cubi

Cubi is the housing area right next to the airport.  The houses there look the same and have the same architecture as the houses in Binictican, except they are a bit bigger (and more expensive).  A normal house there contains three bedrooms.

Forest Hills

Forest Hills is right next to Subic Homes.  It has a convenience store and a small swimming pool.  The houses are like little duplexes, and most of them have two or three bedrooms.

Most houses in Subic range from $600 U.S. to $1200 a month.  Houses in Binictican range from $600 to $700 a month.

All houses were built by the US Navy.

Apartments

The old US Navy barrack buildings on Cubi have been turned into apartment buildings, occupied by occasional visitors to Subic.

Other than those, the only apartment solution in Subic is to rent houses in Subic Homes.  They will allow visitors to rent vacant houses.  More information at this link.

Hotels

FedEx puts all of the crew in need of a hotel room in the Grand Seasons Hotel.  Another hotel in Subic is the Legenda Hotel.  There are a few other small hotels, but those are the most popular.  They both have swimming pools and restaurants, and Grand Seasons is also known by some for its casino.

Olongapo and the surrounding area of Barrio Baretto have many small and cost efficient hotels, although the facilities and rooms that are obviously not on par with those of Subic's hotels.
