Fire Incidents 2008

Alarm 1- Jan. 1st Box 4-I dispatched at 1324 hrs for a MVA one vehicle into the median unknown injuries or entrapment. Chief 4 on arrived on scene and advised a pick up pulling a trailer no injuries. Cancel all units. PSP released chief. PennDot on scene for traffic control.

Alarm 2- Jan 5th Box 4-I dispatched at 0749 hrs for a MVA at the 91 mile marker west bound. One vehicle, white SUV, into the median unknown injuries. Enroute all units cancelled by PSP DuBois.

Alarm 3- Jan. 5th Box 4-I dispatched at 0840 hrs for a MVA at the 93 mile marker west bound. Red van off the roadway into a tree unknown injuries or entrapment. Asst 4-1 arrived on scene with 2 pts refusing treatment/transport. Medic 43 was on scene for EMS.

Alarm 4- Jan. 8th Fire Box 39B dispatched at 0545 hrs station 4 tanker due assisting Sandy Twp. with a working dwelling fire. Tanker 4 responded and supplied engine 38 with approx 2000 gallons. Crew was then reased by command at 0652 hrs.

Alarm 5- Jan. 17 Box 4WL dispatched at 1512 hrs for a 2 vehicle MVA with entrapment on SR 950. Crews arrived on scene to find all pts self-extricated. Heavy damage to both vehicles. Crews provided traffic control for PSP and assisted medic 43.

Alarm 6 Jan. 22 Box 4-I dispatched at 1107 to I-80 at the 90 mile marker west bound for a vehicle into the median unknown injuries or entrapment. Crews arrived on scene to find a SUV into a tree. No injuries on scene or fluids leaking. Crews were released by PSP. Medic 42 on scene for EMS.

Alarm 7- Jan. 28 Box 4-I and 10-IP dispatched at 1555 for a vehicle fire between the 86 and 89 mile marker west bound. Crews from station 4 and 10 responded. Chief 10 released crews from station 4, vehicle was located at the 83 west bound reported fire was out.

Alarm 8- Jan. 29 Box 4-I dispatched at 0120 for a one vehicle roll over blocking the left hand lane. Asst. 4-1 and Engine Rescue 4 advised hazardous roadway conditions on the I. Crews were unable to stop at accident however, they were able to report negative injuries on scene. Medic 43 arrived on scene and was involved in a rear end collision by another vehicle. Driver of the vehicle was heavily entraped. Crews from station 4 completed extrication of the driver of the vehicle and was then transported to DRMC West helipad to meet with air ambulance. Crews of medic 43 sustained minor injuries. Station 38 Clearfield County also assisted at the scene.

 

                                     

Alarm 9- Jan. 31 Box 4-A dispatched at 0233 hrs to 22 Taylor Ave Falls Creek Boro for a possible structure fire, smoke in the stucture. Clearfield County Engine 37 and Engine 38 also due on the box. Chief 4 arrived on scene with nothing showing from exterior. Crews found malfunctioned furnace with electrical wired burnt. Engines 73 and 38 were released. Box was in service at 0308 hrs.

Alarm 10- Jan. 31 Box 4-B dispatched at 0843 for an MVA with entrapment on SR 830 in the "S" turns, a passenger car vs. garbage truck. Crews arrived on scene to find a small SUV into the rear of a garbage truck with the driver entraped. Crews popped the drivers side door and Medic 43 attended to the pt. Crew also provided oil clean up and traffic control.

Alarm 11- Feb. 1 Box 4-I dispatched at 0856 for an MVA with possible fire at the 91 mile marker east bound of I-80. Crews arrived on scene to find an SUV on its side in the medial with the engine compartment fully involved with fire. All passenger were out of the vehicle. Engine Rescue 4 arrived and extinguished the fire. Medic 43 attended to the pts.

Alarm 12- Feb. 2 Box 4-I dispatched at 0112 hrs for an MVA roll over at the 90 mile marker west bound of I-80. Crews arrived on scene to find all pts out of the vehicle. Crews provided traffic control and assisted Medic 42 with pt care.
