The beginning
The idea of setting up a football team began when we went to watch North Bradley Saints in the Division 3 Cup Final. Kye and myself thought we could put a team together rather than going out every Saturday on all dayers. I then went and spoke to Roland Hill who said that there were spaces in the league for next season and after going back to the riser and thinking of all the players we could potentially get to play for us, we decided that we were going to set up a team. "Nessy" also volunteered to help us et up this team so the three of us then went about getting a team together and asking people if they would be interested; We sent various letters out to try and get a sponsor and eventually Daniel Irons managed to get Cromwell Press to sponsor us and buy us a kit. After looking around for ages the only pitch we could get was at Christie Miller, Melksham which we used for a season but now play our home games at Lambrook Playing Fields, Trowbridge.
Nessy, Kye and myself aquired the nets on a top secret mission called "Operation Northbridge" which took place at a classified location. The name "Northbridge" is derived from North Bradley and Trowbridge.
Glyn Edwards then arranged for us to get hooded tops and our famous logo "That's a Fine!" which is printed on the front was thought up by Jon Taylor.
This is how FC Northbridge started and we are going from strength to strength as we speak!
