When we enter our engineering class, the first task that we do at hand is to grab our engineering portfolio folders and take a seat at our designated, assigned area. From there we turn on our computers and log into our respected Learnmate profiles via the internet. Learnmate is a program in which we work on all of our modular work and forums for our engineering class. Once we are logged-on into Learnmate, we then complete our forum topics (which are posted on a daily basis). These forums usually depict what we will be encompassing during the next couple of class periods. After this point, we then participate in our routine groups. Every student must be evolved in a rotation group to receive a participation grade each class period (along with proper behavior and proper attire). Every student must be in one of the five (5) different groups.
We have 20 minutes in each station until a timer rings off, and we switch stations. The stations that we participate in are of the following: portfolio station, instructor station, module station, and project. For example, on any given day, Team 1 could have the rotation schedule of the portfolio station, the instructor station, and then finish with our respected projects. Portfolio station is the station where team work is most essential out of the 4 stations. We (as a team) are assigned work that involves the whole team to discuss and evaluate how we will approach the given task at hand. At instructor station our teacher, (Mr.Kinkaid), gives a lesson on a beneficial subject corresponding to what we are learning in the classroom. At module station, we individually work on our respected modular activities. This station is the station that encompasses the least amount of team work. At the project station, we either work on our individual projects at hand, or our team projects. This either incorporates planning, designing, or completing a project.
