Membership Eligibility
A graduate holding an associate or equivalent, baccalaureate, or higher degree from a qualified educational institution, a degree from a foreign institution recognized by the International Federation of University Women (IFUW), or a foreign degree acceptable as a basis for admission by graduate schools at regionally accredited universities in the United States shall be eligible to receive admission to AAUW membership.
AAUW values and seeks a diverse membership. There shall be no barriers to full participation in this organization on the basis of gender, race, creed, age, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or class.
Fiscal Year
AAUW's membership year is from July 1 to June 30. However, members can join at any time.
Dues
Dues are paid to Association, State and the local branch. Between January 1 and March 15 of each year, new members can join for half the amount of the total dues.
For 2009-2010, dues are as follows:
Association $49
State $10
Local $13
