Eyesight: Making text bigger in Browser

Internet Explorer: Internet Explorer and other Browsers provide a feature called Zoom, this will allow you to change the zoom with-in your browser to increase or decrease the size.
  1. You can do this by holding the ctrl which is in the keyboard located under shift, and at the same time press + to increase the zoom and press the - to decrease the zoom.
  2. Change text size In IE

    1. Open the page menu from the toolbar, by pressing alt and p then press x to select Text Size and choose from the available options.
    2. This might not work if the website has hardcoded the font size as absolute and not relative. You can bypass this by going to Internet Options by pressing alt and o then choose Internet Options, choose Accessibility and check Ignore font sizes specified on webpages. Click ok to all the windows.
    3. Other Browsers will have similar options that will allow these changes.

      Making text larger in XP

      There are a few ways that will allow you to change the font size in your XP Operating System. The first method is to decrease the resolution.

      1. Click start then run and type "desk.cpl"
      2. Click on Settings, you should now see a movable bar with the current pixel settings, try to lower this
      3. Once the desired resolution is chosen, click apply and ok

      Font Size

      1. Click start then run and type "desk.cpl"
      2. Click on Appearance, and under Font Size: Choose Extra Large Font or just Large.
      3. Here you can also change the colour scheme, style and click the advance option for further configurations.

      Magnify the screen

      1. Click start, then all programs, navigate to acccessories, choose accessibility and click on Magnifier.
      2. You will be automatically displayed with the Magnifier Settings, choose the Magnification level, tracking and presentation to suit your need.
      3. This can be used on any program even a browser.
