Welcome to the homepage of the Crown Point Crusaders Drum & Bugle Corps, a non-profit FANTASY organization providing educational and performance opportunities for youth across the Midwest. The Crusaders are located in Crown Point, Indiana, about 45 miles southeast of Chicago. The corps competes in an international circuit called DCP-I (Drum Corps Planet-International) against other corps from around the world. Membership is open to youth ages 14 to 21 who are selected through a competitive audition process once a year. Experience in brass, percussion, or colorguard is necessary upon attending auditions. And of course, none of this really matters, because this is a FANTASY drum and bugle corps. In other words, it is NOT REAL! Feel free to navigate the site for more information using the links below.

The hiring of instructional staff for the 2004-2005 season is now complete. The administration is very very happy with the choices made, and everyone is getting along great. It should be a great start to an even greater year! The staff are currently busy putting the finishing touches on the show design for this season. They won't give any hints yet, but visual caption head Vince Li promises us we will be "blown off our feet" when we see it on the field. I can't wait! Keep checking back here for a show announcement in the next few weeks.
Sept. 14, 2004 - New Uniforms!
The Crown Point Crusaders will be hitting the field in style this season in new uniforms, proudly displayed here by mellophone player Scott Bartlett. The uniforms were purchased recently from the now-inactive Homestarmy, a defunct (but once very successful) corps from San Diego, CA. The uniforms should arrive sometime in the next month, and uniform fittings will be held at rehearsal shortly thereafter.
