Boy, I loved this show!  A short-lived, terribly underrated cult classic from the 1980s.

A team of misfit sorta-superheroes banded together -- not to fight crime, but simply to investigate weirdness here and there.  Their unorthodox background and methods led to all manner of hijinks and humor.  It had adventure, pathos, and outright humor folded into one gut-busting package.

The show only lasted for half a season though, partly because it had been positioned against the Dallas juggernaut.  Not even Dean Paul Martin's impeccable comedic timing could save it, nor did the outstanding beauty of a young Courteney Cox.

What a shame.  This is one show that is unlikely to ever be released on DVD.  Perhaps somewhere out there, there's a universe where this shown continued into perpetuity.  If only...
