I knew that I recognized this guy!
I was watching an episode of Bosom Buddies on DVD when I saw this fella's mug. He played a fella who went on a date with Donna Dixon's character. Where did I see him from?
I eventually realized that this was Stephen Shortridge, who played Bo on the last season of Welcome Back, Kotter. He had the unenviable task of filling the shoes left by John Travolta when Travolta scaled back on his involvement with that show in order to concentrate on his movie career.
Shortridge did a mighty fine job, and his character was reasonably well developed. The writers decided not to make him a mere pastiche of Vinnie Barbarino, which was wise. Sadly, the show was very much on its last legs.
Did I mention that his character dated Donna Dixon's Sunny? Lucky guy.
