I used to watch old reruns of the original Mickey Mouse Club on the Disney Channel.  My favorite performer was young Cheryl, due partly to her sparkling smile and the casual, comfortable way in which she danced.  She clearly seemed to be having fun as she performed.

I always wondered why she never got a more prominent role.  I recently read her updated Wikipedia entry though, which says that her weak singing voice tended to place her in the background.  What a crying shame.  I would have liked to see more of her talent, especially since the original MMC didn't last for many years.

She did have a pretty successful television acting career after her days as a mouse, though.  The woman had talent.  Too bad we didn't get to see more of it.
