Fan dedications

Earlier, I likened She Spies to Charlie's Angels.  The angels were know for being a dumb jigglefest, wherein the cast members were often placed in skimpy outfits or skintight bodystockings.  I think it would be unfair to say that She Spies was like that.

Oh, there's no denying that they tried to play up the ladies and their physical charms.  There's no denying that these women sometimes had to wear impractically tight outfits.  And I don't doubt that the producers hoped that this would boost their ratings.  Most of the time though, they did it in a tongue-in-cheek kind of way, as though parodying the whole genre.

And they were a heck of a lot more interesting as well.

Out of the three leads (Cassie, Shane and D.D.), D.D. was my favorite by far.  And why not?  She was sweet, intelligent, wholesome and undeniably likeable.  I suspect that she was the favorite amongst nerds and geeks everywhere.

Did I mention that she was pretty?  Yep, she was one of the most attractive women on television.  The thing is, she doesn't quite fit the Hollywood glamour mold, but so what?  This just goes to show that sweetness, intelligence and charm convey a certain sex appeal of their own.
