Remember that back then, the Supergirl movie flopped at the box office, thanks to a lackluster storyline. Superman IV: The Quest For Peace was an even bigger disappointment, thanks to horrendous writing. The Superboy series didn't turn the franchise around, but it was a definite improvement. |

I truly enjoyed watching the camaraderie between the main characters—Clark, Lana and T.J. There was a certain innocence about it that lent itself to the show's charm. |

I enjoyed the later Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman , at least for the first season. It degenerated quickly though, and the storylines became pretty stupid. I can tolerate some eye-rolling storylines if the show still carries its charm, and I can tolerate a lack of charm if the storylines are fairly intelligent. Lose both though, and I lose interest as well. |

Having said that, I'd love to see an updated version of the Superboy mythos–and not like the Smallville show. For whatever reason, I never really cottoned to that one, perhaps because of all the liberties they took with the original source material. |
