I would have a hard time imagining anyone else as Lana. Perhaps a truly vibrant redhead; however, I think that Stacy was just right for this role. How does she compare to the other Lanas? |

When Annette O'Toole played an adult Lana Lang in Superman III, I felt that she did a good job; however, the storyline didn't really allow her character to develop much depth. In Ms. Haiduk's case, I'm thankful that her role did allow her to portray Lana as a more fully fleshed out, fully developed character. I always imagined Lana as being intelligent and plucky, just as the writers of Superboy did. |

I always liked the character of Lana, anyway. The classic Lois always seemed to have a more shallow, almost adversarial relationship with Clark, whereas Lana seemed to be more genuine fond of him. That's one thing I liked about John Byrne's version of the Boy of Steel; he made it clear that Lana loved Clark for who he was. (Mind you, I'm saying this as someone who cannot stand most of Byrne's recent work.) |

I've seen people on the 'net say that Kristen Kruek was just painfully beautiful as Lana. I agree that she's attractive; however, I think that the phrase "painfully beautiful" is more properly applied to the young Ms. Haiduk. Sigh. |
