The best and only perfect book...

The very best book in the world, and the only one that is perfect, is the Bible. No other book can compare to it. The Bible is the only book that we need to read. However, there are many good books that are certainly worth reading and there are many that are very encouraging and help us in our walk with the Lord. Historical books are especially great to help us learn about our heritage and the Lord's mighty works through the ages. Here are a few paragraphs about some of my favorite books.

Growing up in the 1850's: The Journal of Agnes Lee

Eleanor Agnes Lee was the daughter of General Robert E. Lee, the famous Conferderate Commander in the War Between the States. This is the journal from her girlhood. I thoroughly enjoyed it. There are many books about Robert E. Lee, but there are very few about the rest of his family. This is one of the only sources on his third, beautiful daughter, Agnes, and it lets us see better the life of the Lee family. It tells of her faith, her struggles, and her family. I loved this book!

Daughters of Destiny ~ Compiled and Edited By Noelle Wheeler (Gorforth)

This is a wonderful compilation of stories of women who had great character and faith. This is a very encouraging and inspiring book for any young lady or woman.
