News This is the news
section of the
Fall Weiss: Where the War Started"
website. Here we will post news concerning the progress of the
modification itself, and occasionally other subjects as well that we
consider to be relevant to the modification or Blitzkrieg in some way.

Hello!
The new community at the BKHQ forum grows for
every day that goes by, and so does the Blitzkrieg Headquarters itself.
Following an initiative by the BKHQ and PIMG, they have made an
interview with the Fall Weiss team, where we told the public about
some elements of the mod.
You can read the whole interview
here
That's all for today. Keep up on the development on

Hello and welcome to another news update!
While we have no screenshots to promote today,
we have some major announcements - both bad ones and good ones.
-
First of all, we must sadly
inform that the Blitzkrieg Portal will be shut down in the beginning
of January 2009. This will mean that the BKP Forums will also be shut
down. Despite this, we thank Lee Campbell for everything he has done
for us the past few years, and wish him luck in the future.
-
However, we also have some
good news: Resulting from this crisis as mentioned above, the
community has worked hard for maintaining the community, and wespex
has now opened the Blitzkrieg Headquarters. From January 2009, all
news will be posted on our website and on the new forums, along with
all comments, questions you might have. For now, you will have to
register to enter the forums, but as it is completely free you should
not be frightened to join us.

During this time, we have worked on various
elements of Fall Weiss. New maps for the Slovak campaign is in
progress, and final maps are prepared for scripting. Screenshots and
more news will come in 2009.
Until then: Have a happy New
Years Eve!

Hello and welcome to the second update since
the addition of our news section!
While we now focus on finishing the final maps
and scripts, there is always room for improvements - and a few new
units. Below is a couple of screenshots of today's new units: a
reskinned Messerschmitt Bf 109 by Aleksej fon Grozni, a Messerschmitt
Bf 110 C (model and skin also by Aleksej) and a Henschel Hs 123 by
AlexGENERAL_Z of the GZM mod.
Some background information
about the Hensches Hs 123 dive bomber, which was obsolete by 1939.
From Wikipedia:
At the outbreak of hostilities, the surviving 39 Hs 123s assigned to
II. (Schl)/LG 2, were committed to action in the Polish Campaign. This
single unit proved to be particularly effective. Screaming over the
heads of enemy troops, the Hs 123s delivered their bombs with
devastating accuracy. A frightening aspect of an Hs 123 attack was the
staccato noise of its engine that a pilot could manipulate by changing
rpm to create "gunfire-like" bursts. The Hs 123 proved rugged and able
to take a lot of damage and still keep on flying. Operating from
primitive bases close to the front lines, ground crews considered the
type reliable in field conditions, being easy to maintain.
That's all for today. Keep up on the development on
the Forums.

Hello!
Due to the circumstances, we have decided to
establish a news section. As the news section is now up and running,
we want to commemorate this occasion by presenting the old intro Ufiak
made a couple of years ago.
You can download it
here
You can comment this file and the progress of
the mod at the
