Welcome To FallingLikeBlood!
From the moment the last hunter had fallen, the wolves knew they'd be okay, for now. The forest is back to the way it should be - just like all the packs. Well, physically, at least. Emotionally, some of them would never be the same. Some wolves and cats would never be like they were before, after losing everything they had to live for. So much destruction, and for what? Nothing has been gained because of this, and only death and grief has come of it. Some wolves never knew what it was to have lost something, until the hunters came. And now, that's all they know in life. All their hopes, all their dreams. How can one's whole life be relinquished, just in a blink of an eye? The large black male wolf slowly opened his eyes, and stretched as he woke from his sleep. He looked around him as soon as he heard a soft scuffling noise. His blue gaze turned soft as he looked at his mate, and his newly born pups. This right here, his family, was a sign that things will, and can, get better. Getting to his paws, he went over to them and layed down beside his mate. His pups rolled around together as they nipped each other's ears and paws. His body ached to no extent, but he tried to ignore it in front of the pups. Blood still caked in his fur, but he just sighed and looked around the den. Everything was going to be okay now, it's over with. He just had to keep telling himself that. No matter what you go through in life, no matter how many lessons you’ve learned, or how many mistakes you’ve made, In three words you can always sum up everything you've learned about life so far: it goes on.
