Information
The
Fallen Angels have had a long and potted history. The name comes from
our old hosting venue, The Angel Pub. We are currently based at Pershore
Football Club in Worcestershire. Pershore FC is a fantastic venue in
which to be based due to it's excellent parking facilities, large grounds
for hosting events, as well as an all important pub for after training
drinks!
The Pershore Dragon Boat
Racing Team are affiliated with the British Dragon Boat Racing Association
(BDA) so we take part in both national and regional events. We also
take part in many charity events and organise the National Spice Dragon
Boat Racing Championship every year.
Although frequently undermanned,
we acheived excellent results in 2003, including 2 first places and
a third. This year, we are hoping to build on last year's successes.
We now have more team members, so we shouldn't be undermanned for the
races this year.
At the moment
we have a crew of all ages and build, both male and female. Dragon Boating
is a fantastic way of keeping fit, and because the technique is so important
it means that you can join in whatever your fitness level and progress.
The Fallen Angels often hold events for Spice helping to take complete
beginners through from the basic technique right through to a 500m race
in one day! All events are properly supervised by qualified experts with
a 2 professional safety boat crews on hand throughout the day.
The Fallen
Angels themselves are not adverse to organising their own private social
gatherings. Most of which end rather drunkenly! Although we also organise
other, more physically gratifying trips which in the past has included
white water rafting, paintballing, and even tranquil walks through the
Lake District. So not only is Dragon Boating good for fitness, it's
great for the social life too!

How
To Join The Angels
The
Fallen Angels are always on the look-out for new members. At the heart
Dragon Boating is a comptetitive team based sport. If you live in the
Worcestershire area, and enjoy being part of a team, and are able to
commit to training on a regular basis we would love to hear from you!
As Dragon Boating is a water based sport you must not mind getting wet.
Of course the idea is NOT to get wet, but you never know! As mentioned
earlier we welcome both male and female members, and of all fitness

Training Information
We currently
train at Pershore Football Club just behind the main high street in
Pershore. You can find us there at 11am Sunday mornings and 6:30pm on
Tuesday. Training usually lasts around 90 minutes and varies between
hard physical sessions and refining paddling technique.

Sponsorship
Information
The
Fallen Angels do not yet have a full time sponsor. Most events and equipment
are paid for out of our own pocket. What little money the club has made
for itself has been through small scale fund raising events.
There
are many ways that you can sponsor the Fallen Angels including sponsoring
our clothing, our dragon boat and other equipment. Each event that we
enter is also paid for by the team members so help towards these costs
is always appreciated. Please contact us to discuss sponsorship.
