lalaine in concert

It was the perfect day for Radio Disney's concert in the park Saturday, April 19th. There was plenty for kids to do, booths with games, food and some other cool freebies. The fireman and paramedics were even out there showing off their vehicles and answering questions. There was even a few contests on stage that a lot of people had fun in paticipating in.

By far the highlight of the day was of course the live entertainment. Vi3 were on hand to start off the show. These boys didn't dissapoint the crowd, espechially the group of girls that made their way to the front of the stage. Be sure to check out our video clip of part of their performance. We also did an interview with the guys a few months back, so be sure to check it out here if you missed it. (Note: So I just found out that the group has broken up, check their official site for details).

Lalaine came out only a short time later to give us a 6 song concert. Now let me tell you, I was very impressed with her when she did her first live performance at club one seven. You can check out our coverage of that here. It was great to see such a big crowd turn out for her performance, and I think it is safe to say she blew everyone away.

The crowd was already screaming, just at the sight of Lalaline, who opened up the show with a song called, "If You Want To Rock ". It was a great song to start off with, the rock song got the crowd dancing. Speaking of dancing, the dancers were awesome. They defenitely made the stage show exciting to watch, with their flips and very HOT dance moves. "Running In Circles", was the next song, which Lalaine wrote along with her producers. Lalaine slowed it down with this song, and really showed everyone just how powerful her voice is.

Lalaine just finished shooting a movie called, "Promise Land" and she wrote a song for it called "We All Fall Down". Its seems to me that Lalaine isn't going to only take the world by storm vocally, but the girl can definietely write too! Her dancers came back on stage for this song, and I would have to say that this is one of my favorites songs of the day. The melody is very catchy and within a few times through the chorus you can't help but sing along.

"True To Me" was the next song, Lalaine dedicated to all her fans, letting them know it was important for them to go for their dream and to stay true to themselves. It was a great message to send out to the hundred of kids who adored her. We put up a video clip of this song on the site so check it out here!

"Hurt of A Girl" was another favorite of mines. The ballad once again showed off how strong Lalaine's voice is. Right after that song Lalaine left the stage for a quick wardrobe change, but the dancers had no problem keeping the crowd entertained while she was gone. Each showing off their individual skill, they kept the crowd pumped.

Everyone was soon dancing when Lalaine came out to sing "Shake What You Got". I think that was definetely a crowd favorite because it took everything for the little girls in front of us not to raise their signs. It was really nice of them to keep their signs down for us because we were taping. So yeah thanks to them if they ever read this..LoL.

Now the song that brought everyone just a little taste of Lalaine's talent "You Wish" which you can request at Radio Disney by the way. It was very fitting as the last song of the day. You could see all the kids singing along and having a great time. I know that I already said my favorite like 2 times already, but come on everyone has to love this song. So yeah this was another one of my favorites.

One thing I noticed about Lalaine is that she seems really grateful. I don't think she stopped smiling, and she waved at fans throughout her whole show. Thanking many of her friends and family by name, especially her Mom. After the concert there was a long long line just to get a signed autograph from Lalaine. I am guessing she was at the park for a really really long time, but I don't think she minded at all. Anyways I really enjoyed myself, I think Lalaine is definitely going places with her talent, it is really just a matter of time.
