Brazil-Renault takes both championships

Fernando Alonso has won the 2006 drivers championship by 13 points over Michael Schumacher and Renault has won the 2006 constructors chamionship by 5 points over Ferrari. Michael Schumacher never gave up, coming up from 10th to 4th when he got a severe right rear puncture, dropping him to last place. He then fought back through the field, finishing in 4th place. An amazing last drive from the 7 times world champion.

Japan-World Championship goes down to the final race.

Fernando Alonso is on the verge of securing his 2nd World Championship on the trot in Brazil, after Michael Schumacher's Ferrari engine failure at Japan in the penultimate race. Alonso is now 10 points ahead of Michael Schumacher and all Alonso needs to do in brazil is score 1 point or more, regardless of what Schumacher does. We will see what happens in Brazil.

China-Schumacher and Alonso level on points going into the final rounds.

After an amazing race in China, Michael Schumacher and Fernando Alonso are level on points. Schumacher won the race and alonso came second, but Schumacher was 2 points behind coming into the race so he is now level with Alonso on points. Next weekend Schumacher could win the World championship if Alonso retires and Schumacher wins the race. We just have to wait and see.

Italy-Schumacher retires, Raikkonen to replace.

At the Italian race in Monza, Michael Schumacher announced that he would be retiring at the end of this current season, so this is the last chance to get a record 8th World Championship. It was also announced at that race that Raikkonnen would replace Schumacher at Ferrari as 1st driver with Felipe Massa staying as 2nd driver.
