Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Custom-Designed album/page?

A Custom-Designed album/page is created and designed specifically around your photos, your event, your memorabilia, your color choices, or theme.

What if I don't live local to you, can I still hire you to Custom-Design my album/pages?

Yes, thanks to our website we are able to offer our Designer skills to everyone that can access the internet.  We can conduct the consultation via telephone, emails, or Instant Messenger services.

Can I save money by keeping it simple?

YES!   We offer three different styles of pages and by selecting the Basic option, we can keep pages simple and unique while saving you money.

If I give you scrapbook supplies, does that lower the price?

Yes!  We will use what we can of your products and then prorate the pages.   We will keep all your items with your project and return what we can not use.

I want a specific product or layout for certain groups of photos. Can I specify what I want?

If you've found specific papers, embellishments, stickers, etc that you want used for a specific group of your pictures, please include them and make a note as to which photos you want them used for.  If you have found a particular layout in my Portfolio, just mark the group of photos with the layout number.  You can be as involved in the creative process of your album/pages as you like.  If you don't have a specific layout/design/color/theme choice in mind, we will design based on the photos.

Will you be using my original photos?

Yes, we will use whatever photos you send us.  If you're uncomfortable with sending your only copy--take it to a developer and have a duplicate made.  Our theory is that you're wanting to eliminate the boxes and developer envelopes of photos, so we use what you send.

Will you crop all of my photos?

When necessary we do crop photos so that contain any excess sky, background or distracting backgrounds; then we attach your photo to the page or matting cardstock with a permanent photo adhesive.  Please note the photos you do not want permanently matted or cropped.  Cropping photos allow for more photos to be designed into a layout/page and helps to focus on the subject of the photo.  We do not crop/trim more than necessary as we feel the background sometimes helps in dating the photograph and is as important.

How do I organize my photos?

Go through your photos and separate the ones for the scrapbook.  Put them in a photo organizer, envelopes or baggies and label by who, what, where, & when.  If you have any memorabilia or journaling you want included, please group together with the appropriate pictures.

Do I have to send all my photos at once?

No, we can get started on a few pages at a time and you can send us photos as you get them organized.

I'd like to give a Custom-Design album for a gift, but I don't have the pictures, can you still do it?

No problem . . . just let us know what type of album, the theme to be carried out throughout the album, color scheme, total number of pages if it's more than the minimum that comes with the album, and anything else you can think of that will guide me in designing your surprise gift.  We will then design the pages/layouts leaving photo & journaling space so that they can be added later.

I don't like my handwriting, Can you do my Journaling for me?

Journaling to me is what makes a photo album a scrapbook.  I also feel your handwriting, no matter how horrid, is a tremendous asset to the scrapbook.   I also love computer fonts for journaling on layouts.   So whatever you choose, there is no additional charge for journaling.

Do you need the Album in order to Custom-Design the pages?

It's always best to work with the actual album so that we can size the pages to fit in the page protectors for that particular album.  We carry a variety of albums in the web-store that you can purchase.  If you have the album we advise that you send it with your photos.

Approximately how long does it take?

Generally we attempt to get an album consisting of 20 pages completed within one month's time. From the time we receive your photos, to the gluing down of the last page. We will make every attempt to complete a project if you need it by a certain date. This requires you to check your e-mail frequently to answer any questions regarding journaling or design.

Can I see my pages in progress?

YES, we have a special section on our website for clients to track see the progress of their album.  As we complete pages, they will be posted on your personal client page.  You will be supplied a login name and password to access the Client area.

Can I pay as I go?

Yes, especially for big projects.  We will set up a payment plan that suits your needs. Payment plans can also result in longer completion time for your album, but we are always wiling to work with you.  Full payment is needed before you receive your album.

What are my payment options?

You can pay securely online via PayPal, Mastercard, Visa, American Express, or Discover Card.  We also accept personal checks and money orders.   We will begin creating your album once your deposit check has cleared the bank.  Upon completion of the album it will be shipped once your check for the total remaining bill has also been cleared.

What is Paypal and how does it work?

PayPal is an account-based system that lets anyone with an e-mail address securely send and receive online payments using their credit card or bank account.   EZ Scrapbooking, the recipient of the charge, will never have access to your account number. Visit the PayPal website for more information.

Do I have to complete the Client Agreement/Contract?

Yes . . . The contract is to make sure we are both aware of what is specifically going to be done with your photos, so there's no misunderstandings as to what you can expect when you receive your completed designed layouts from us.

What if I wish to cancel my order for a custom-made album once you have started?

You can cancel your project at anytime.  Your deposit is non-refundable, and you will be liable for the cost of each page that has already been created at the agreed Per Page cost.  If the amount due is more than the deposit, items will be withheld until payment for remaining balance is received, and has cleared the bank.
