Lost Childhood
"Society's collapsing!" I heard it said today.
The values of our parent's days seem very far away.
Young people walk around the streets, they're armed with combat knives,
And when they settle arguments, their victims lose their lives.
In schools the pupils answer back, they're rude without respect.
The teachers can't control them, but what can we expect.
They're learning moral values, they learn from what they see.
They learn from daily papers and programmes on T.V.
Young people have been told their rights, they question every rule,
They know the letter of the law and use it as a tool.
By educating children we sometimes open eyes,
To things they cannot comprehend, it comes as no surprise,
That children grow up far too fast, they're adult in no time.
So soon they lose their innocence, it really is a crime.
You should protect your children, before their lives are wrecked.
Don't worry that the censor's not politically correct.
Exposed to sex and violence, kids see life at its worst,
A trend thats most disturbing, which needs to be reversed.
So think about your children, of what you do and say,
For what your children learn from you, is how they'll act one day.
Give children back their childhood, to joke and play and be,
Secure, content, in happiness within their family.
