Halo 2 (2004 - 2007)
Halo 2 is the sequel to the highly successful and critically acclaimed Halo: Combat Evolved. In Halo 2, the saga continues as Master Chief—a genetically enhanced
super-soldier—is the only thing standing between the relentless Covenant and the destruction of all humankind.
The sequel includes many of the features players have been begging for, including all-new graphics, new environments and locations, new weapons, vehicles and
full support for Xbox Live multiplayer action.
New features like dual-wielding, destructible environments and vehicle boarding change the Campaign and Multiplayer modes dramatically, while still retaining the core
gameplay that made Halo an Xbox and PC a favorite. The highly involving game plot also features plenty of twists and surprises. Halo 2 was originally released on Xbox in
2004 and will be released worldwide for PCs running Windows Vista in 2007.
Halo 3 (2007)
Halo 3 is the third game in the Halo Trilogy and will provide the thrilling conclusion to the events begun in Halo: Combat Evolved. Halo 3 was first revealed
at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles on May 9th, 2006. Halo 3 will be available for the Xbox 360 in 2007.
Halo 3 will pick up where Halo 2 left off. The Master Chief is returning to Earth to finish the fight. The Covenant occupation of Earth has uncovered a
massive and ancient object beneath the African sands - an object who's secrets have yet to be revealed. Earth's forces are battered and beaten.
The Master Chief's AI companion Cortana is still trapped in the clutches of the Gravemind - a horrifying Flood intelligence, and a civil war is raging in the heart of the Covenant.
The epic saga continues with Halo 3 as Master Chief returns to finish the fight, bringing the epic conflict between the Covenant, the Flood, and the entire human race to a
dramatic, pulse-pounding climax.
Halo Wars (2007)
In a first major step for Microsoft, Halo Wars will not be developed by its creator, Bungie. Instead, as aforementioned, Halo Wars is in development
by Ensemble Studios. This new move signifies Microsoft's full dedication to expanding its most popular franchise both creatively and financially, but
it also means that Bungie is giving up an unspecified amount of creative control to another developer.
Designed exclusively for the Xbox 360, Halo Wars allows you to take charge of the human UNSC armies and see the Halo universe from a totally new perspective.
