The Spirit Of Rush

Exit Stage Right has a deep appreciation for the classic Rush sound. Their musical journey and presentation of Rush’s music is from the mid 70’s to the early 80’s when the Canadian power-trio took on a decidedly progressive direction. However gems from the early recordings to Rush’s latest studio release “Vapor Trails” sometimes find there way into ESR’s set.

Overture at the Temples of Syrinx

A first meeting at a jam session in March of 2003 between Scott (Bass, Voice, Keys) and Randy (Guitar, Keys, Voice) began as the nucleus to Exit Stage Right. At the session, they spoke about how they enjoyed listening to Rush’s music and the songs they used to play. A few months had past when Scott asked Randy if he would like to start a Rush cover band. He agreed and ESR was born. After answering an ad in a local rag and jamming with the duo, Richard (Drums & Percussion) was asked to join the group.
