Junior Project Loco

Reporting As It Happens

Sunday 4th October

Firstly, I'm really sorry to everybody that checks this site regularly as its not the fact I've forgotten but the fact that other things have prioritized the project loco. As of now, I have decided to cover both my project loco as well as the whole team's engine. (Quick note, there will be no reports on the Petrol loco until after Christmas due to a period of track work).

oliver grinding the weld so the bracket for my idle shaft will sit flush.

My turn now as I finished the opposite side.

A close up of Oliver as he models the latest line of safety glasses.

My turn now looking a bit of an idiot.

Oliver welding the first part of the bracket in place.

A close up of Oliver's handy work (How it should be done!).

The second part of the bracket being fastened into place.

Finishing touches.

A nice shot of me doing my half of the bracket.

Cutting the bar for the shaft (and a nice view of the mess in the workshop).

Oliver facing the bar before it is turned to fit the bearings.

Finally a quick snapshot of the bar being turned amongst a plume of smoke.
