The Brown Lady of Raynham Hall (above). This is the famous picture taken in 1936 for LIFE magazine that depicts a woman descending a staircase even though the photographer swore there was no one there when he took the picture. The spirit seen in the photo is reportedly that of Lady Dorothy Walpole (left) who once lived at Raynham Hall. Born in 1686, she officially died of smallpox in 1726.Captain Provand and his assistant Indre Shira were taking photographs of the hall for 'Country Life' magazine. They had finished one exposure, and they were getting ready for another, when Shira saw a misty form ascending the stairs. He yelled to the captain that there was something on the stairs. They snapped a picture, and when the negative was developed it showed the famous image. There were three witnesses to the negatives development, as Shira had wanted an independent observer to verify the event

This is me, Brooklyn, in the back, hanging over my best friend Devin's shoulder! He passed away on December 20, 2003. I love and miss him very much! I am 11 years old. I've studied EVPs for 3 years of my life and it is quite enjoyable! I lived in a haunted house in Missouri, and I saw a ghost for myself, so I know they are real! That is when I started to study EVP with my friend Melissa who has her own website called www.evpvoices.com. This is also my brother, Landon, and sister, Korey.
