In SIMA: When Legolas first appears in Safe in My Arms, the War of the Ring has been over for some time. He arrives in Eryn Lasgalen at the palace to greet his father. His friend, Aragorn, King of Gondor, is with him. Legolas has been away for some time working to restore Ithilean in Gondor. Gilloth had been destroyed five years previous. Legolas discovers that someone, a human, has been accused of having slaughtered the village and at the time of his return, the supposed elf-slayer is caught...bearing a medallion that his mother gave to him on her deathbed and that he gave to his friend, Faerlain, as a token of his gratitude for saving his life. Legolas and Aragorn go after the elf-slayer, who escapes, and end up tangling with the ghost of Eryn Lasgalen, who has been attacking wayward elves.
