Lucky Krews

Lucky is an off the track Thoroughbred. He is a 16.2 hand, 2000, dark bay, gelding. Lucky Krews is one of the most level headed horses I have ever seen. Nothing bothers him and he doesn't get excited about anything. Lucky is starting a new career in Eventing. It will be interesting to see how well he comes along. So far he is doing great. He is very calm about everything, rare in an off the track TB. Lucky is a half brother to Strawbug and Graceful Victory and an uncle to Dragon Fly. To view his pedigree click here. Videos

Cavalry

Lucky has been used as a Cavalry horse for one event while my main Cavalry horse was being ridden by a friend. Lucky did very well for the first time, and not being trained for Cavalry.

4-H

SLV 4-H Fair 2008: (Lucky did much better at his second 4-H show. He was still nervous, but not as bad! Except in showmanship. We stood about a total of 10 seconds the whole class.... He did get 1st in two English classes!)

SLV 4-H Fair 2007: (Lucky's first show since coming off the track was a 4-H show. He did pretty well considering he was nervous the whole time. He placed 2nd in Hunter Equitation, 4th in Hunter Hack, and 4th in English control.)

Spring Gulch Pony Club Schooling Show

The spring of 2008, I took Lucky to a Combined Training Schooling Show at Spring Gulch. This was Lucky's first time ever on a cross-country course. He had not even been schooled cross country before! We won our age division at novice level. I had only shown novice once, about 2 years before. We also did a pair pace at novice level with a friend, which we also won!

RMDS dressage show spring of 2008: This was not our best, but we didn't get eliminated! He did get a first, since we were the only ones in the class!
