Tournament Details Map: king1.wad Fraglimit: 50 Timelimit: 50 The tournament is split into two rounds: Regular Season and Finals. Tournament Regular Season Each player plays one game against each of the other players. Games may be played in any order. Once either the fraglimit or timelimit is up, the game is over. The aim is to maximise your frags and minimise your opponent's frags. Tournament Ladder The ladder ranks players based on a simple ratio of frags earnt to opponent frags earnt. For example, if you amass 150 frags to 100 frags of your opponents, your ratio is 1.5 (150/100). You will be ranked higher than players with ratios less than 1.5. This means that the emphasis is on getting frags, and limiting your opponent's frags, rather than a simple win/loss. The player with the highest frag ratio at the end of the Regular Season becomes the Minor Premier. In the case of ties, the game between the tied players determines who tops the ladder. For example, if players A and B are at the top of the Tournament Ladder and both have ratios of 0.9, but B beat A in their game 50-49, B becomes the Minor Premier. Torch of Training At the end of the Regular Season, the last and second-last placed players on the ladder battle each other. The game is replayed if a tie occurs. The winner is given the Torch of Training. The Torch of Training grants the bearer a single training session against a fellow clan member of their choice. Training is to take place on the tournament map. Training is to occur after the Grand Final. Tournament Finals The Minor Premier moves straight into the Grand Final. The second and third placed players on the ladder battle, with the winner going through to the Grand Final. The game is replayed if a tie occurs. The Grand Final winner is crowned the Tournament Champion. Tournament Champion The Tournament Champion is granted the honor of glory, until the next tournament. |
