EUROPEAN THEME PARK
With respect to our history and legends

WELCOME

We all must have heard and some of us visited either Disneyland Paris or their theme parks at the states. I know I have both the Orlando theme parks as well as their Paris one with my daughter. Yes I had a great time and I enjoyed all the visits BUT it was all too American and commercial.

We are Europeans and all of our countries have a long history full of myths, legends, culture, and stories. We have a mythology which goes back thousand of years and this is our heritage, which is being lost slowly. Have you tried a web search related to our myths and legends? Try it and the results are really poor because there are not web sites as they donot ''sell'' and as a result our history disappears.

 

I have a proposal or a ''plan'' if you like. The plan is to build the ‘’European theme park’’ based on the European legends and myths.

 

Let make a start here and now and make a movement to support this idea and try to put it forward were it might found more supporters until we reach the people that are able to make the decisions and create it.

 

One warning goes out to anyone that may try or want to try to put all this under any political banner. Do not even think about it because our heritage and culture does not have any colour and it belongs to everyone irrespective of his/hers political views. Help is welcome by everybody that wishes to assist.

 

Our first step will be an attempt to make a ‘’list’’ of myths and legends for each European country with links to web pages that give much more detailed information for each and relevant bibliography. Feel free to email your comments until a forum is established for the exchange of ideas and suggesting forms that we can pass the idea to more people and ways to put it forward to the ‘’power points’’. Also let me know if you know of any website that has informtaion about the subject so they can be added here.

 

I will add the websites that provide the contact numbers of the local european parliaments as well as the european parliament. I will make a letter that we can all start sending to our local representatives, counselors, euro parliament respresentatives, etc. We do have the power to make things happen, lets use it for somethign that we, our children and the future generations will benefit.

CONTACT YOUR LOCAL REPRESENTATIVE

We do have the power to make things happen. What you think will happen if 1 email reach them? Most probably nothing. But wait what if 10 emails reach them? Them somebody some were will blink. If there are a 100 emails then somebody will start thinking and if there more of them keep coming then they will be forced to take some action. It only takes a sparkle to light a fire. Lets make this become a wild fire that will force them to take action and make something for us, me, you, our children, everybody. 

See it is up to us after all to make things happen and make changes. You have the time. You have 5-10 minutes to spend to copy/paste a letter and sign it and send it. Think what you will feel if this becomes a reality. You will be able to say ‘’I WAS THERE, I DID SOMETHING FOR IT, I WAS PART OF IT’’ and trust me you will feel better about yourself.

 

At the moment we have the letter in Greek, in English  and also in Dutch but we hope we will have a french/italian/spanish/german version soon. If you would like to help please translate the letter in your own language and send it to us. We will be happy to add it here.
