BEACON GUIDE by MANTAS
This is a simple guide for those of you who like doing fun and dangerous things.
A beacon mission is a special event participants can host with a team of friends or socmates. The robot beacon is looted from robot spacecrafts which are found while mining. The finder will indicate "You have found a strange signal." You need to activate a panel on the spaceship to get the loot. Killing the drones guarding it is optional. This happens rarely, once every few thousand probes or bombs, so they aren't exactly cheap. The other option is to buy a beacon on auction. A 23ped beacon usually goes for tt+200ped or so.
Once you gather a team with 6-8 members being ideal, you must follow the beacon co-ordinates to the blast off point. The beacon levels are 23ped (easy), 25-29ped (medium), 35-39ped (hard), and 42ped (insane). Once all the members are there. equip the beacon and press Use Tool. In a few seconds a small transport ship will appear and a ramp will be lowered. All the team members must go up the ramp and enter the ship. The mission host then unequips the beacon, and drags it from inventory to the Robot Navigation Unit.
Seconds later, the ship will take off, bringing your team to the mothership. The first level has absolutely no drones, and at the end of the level there are 3 robot boxes and a strange teleporter. These teleports only go back or forwards, so you can't chose the order of the following levels. The 2nd to 5th levels have various numbers of drones and boxes. You must kill at least 80% of the drones on each level to be able to loot the boxes later on. Boxes can't be looted until the final boss is dead or the countdown timer has started. The Maze is probably the level most people dislike, and a mid-boss level is where a lot of people die. Level 6 is the boss level, and the strongest team member has to clear the drones and the boss. There is an efficient way to clear the room, so it is best for the other team members to stay very close or behind the teleporter to avoid annoying the drones too early. The boss is a Warrior Generation 01 or stronger, depending on the beacon level.
Once the boss and final drones are scrap metal, a countdown timer starts, and that is the signal to teleport and run to your assigned level. To navigate back throught the maze it is best to follow and experienced player, or keep moving along the SE wall. The levels must be assigned by the beacon host, keeping in mind the Maze and mid boss level should be looted by experienced members because of the large number of boxes. While you are waiting for the box to open, look around for the next box. When the timer runs out, everyone dies and ends up at the nearest revival, except for the member looting level 1 who ends up at the blast off point. All loot is given to the team leader, who is responsible for the beacon finances and loot distibution if there is any profit.
