You begin the experience by entering the queue. This takes a bit of gulp if you are a first time rider. As you enter the queue the ride is at the left of you.
From here you are led down some stairs into the bottom of the adventure theme rain forest. In here there is not much of a view. There is bamboo blocking you from seeing most of the ride. There is only one thing that tells you something about the ride. That is the thundering sound of the ride travelling through the loop and the screams of people going down the drops.
Then you pass through what is supposed to be Indiana Jones base camp. Here there is an old jeep and a few tents and lamps. It is just like in the films for those people who have seen Indiana Jones Movies.
Then the queue turns left and the whole thing begins. You get to a flight of small wooden stairs. At either side of you there is a rock serpent as shown. This is the place where you first see most of the ride. You can see the first and second drop plus most of the temple.
Then as you get to the top of the stairs you see a rock semicircle. This does seem rather odd. Until the small train comes thundering down a drop. Then the cars loop around this circle where the track is out of vision.
This could be the most heart stopping moment off the ride. This is the point where you see many people turn back. The queue turns away from this element of fear and passes on. From here you can see the whole station. You see people run onto the ride to stop themselves from running off. You then go down some steps, to station level. You are told where to sit straight away. There is not really a best seat on this ride. I suppose if you are going to chase a seat go for the back.
You almost have to do a dive into these very low down mine cars. Then you pull the heavy over the shoulder harness down. The train moves slowly out of the station. Then it pauses in the brakes. From here the spectators get a good view of you. The train then again begins to move. It grabs the car and hauls it up the surprisingly short lift hill. From here nothing surrounds you. It seems very open. You also get a good view of the ride.
Then here we go down a small drop. Then a small 180 degree turn to the right. Then down into the first drop. An utterly painless experience. It is not frightening as it cannot gather enough speed to frighten. Then up we go. Then another 180 degree turn over the heads of the many people underneath. Then wow down a bigger drop. Then up into an almost zero banked 180 degree turn.
This really is not a nice time for you head as it really gets knocked about allot. Then it is a calm straight, flat piece of track. It doesn't last long though as you drop down a large 180 degree helix. Then wee through the vertical loop which seems to take about a second.
Then up and round a 540 degree helix. Then down slightly and up a large lift. Then booming through the brakes. Then a small 180 degree turn to the right. Up and down a small drop. Then again a 180 degree turn and into the brakes!
