The Essex Cat Club was formed on 9th November 1968 by a group of enthusiasts to meet the needs of the large number of cat owners in Essex and to harness the great interest in cats existing throughout the County.

Its aims and objects are :-

1. To encourage a greater interest in pedigree cats.
2. To foster a better appreciation of cats in general.
3, To give members advice and help regarding the breeding, exhibiting and welfare of their cats.
4. To help non-pedigree cats and their owners.
5. To exhibit and hold shows of pedigree and non-pedigree cats.

We Offer:
An Annual Championship Show with a Household Pet section held in April.
Cups and Trophies awarded at the Show. 
Kitten register to help members find homes for their kittens.
