16. Will Rosa Fox nee Essam (Follows)
Will of Rosa Fox dated 19/05/1952.
As an opener you might ask why she has changed her christian name to Rosa. On her marriage cert. of 1906 she uses her birth name Rose, but when she re-married in 1931 she uses Rosa. This think this is because her new mother -in -law was called Rosa and she did it to please both her new husband and mum-in-law.
I, Rosa Fox the wife of John Charles Henry Fox of 153 Bath Road Kettering in the County of Northampton Retired Shoehand, etc ..etc.
1. I appoint my husband the said John Charles Henry Fox and my daughter Vera Minnie Austin to be the executor and executrix of this my will.
2. I give and bequeath (free of duty) the following specific legacies namely;
(a) To my husband the said John Charles Henry Fox absolutely the whole of the contents of the front bedroom and the middle living room in my residence Number 153 Bath Road-Kettering aforesaid (except money and securities for money therein)
(b) To my Husband the said John Charles Henry Fox and my daughter the said Vera Minnie Austin in equal shares the whole of my bed linen and table linen(except such as may at the date of my death be in the said front bedroom and middle living room)
(c) To my daughter the said Vera Minnie Austin absolutely all the remainder of my household goods furniture and effects and wearing apparel and jewellery and all other articles of household domestic or personal use or ornament ( except as hereinbefore bequeathed) which shall be in or about my residence at the date of my death.
3. I give and bequeath (free of duty) to my daughter the said Vera Minnie Austin absolutely the whole of the moneys standing at the date of my death to the credit of my account or accounts with The Northampton Town and County Benifit Building Society with accrued interest thereon.
4. I devise and bequeath all my real and the remainder of my personal property wheresoever situate and of whatsoever description of or to which I shall be seised possessed or entitled at the date of my death unto my husband the said John Charles Henry Fox in fee simple and absolutely respectively subject to the payment thereout of my funeral and testamentary expenses death and other duties (if any) and depts.
