We started our showing in 2001, after purchasing our first coloured horse. His name was "Sparkling ColourCo" "Sparkling ColourCo" (ColourCo) a 1997 Bay Tobiano 14hh Pinto Gelding, a genuine Australian Brumby, caught out the back of Mt Sylvia via Gatton.
ColourCo is still with us, and helps out with the weaners. And goes on the occasional trail ride. |
ColourCo was very successful for us in the Pinto show ring, winning many Champion and Reserve Champion Ribbons both at Halter and under Saddle. |
In 2002, we purchased our next horse, a flukey buy from Laidley Sales. "Quickstep" (Abbey) a 1997 Bay Tobiano 14.3hh ASH/Pinto Mare.
Abbey is still with us and is now currently enjoying retirement as a Broodmare. She is in foal to ASH Stallion PEPPY OAK for a 2009 foal. |
We showed Abbey in the Pinto ring for a couple of years, with much success, then she went into semi retirement in 2004 and had a liver chestnut filly in August 2005. She was then put back into the show ring for one final year. In her final year of showing she won many Champion and Reserve Champion Ribbons. Finishing with Champion Mare ex14hh at the 2006 SE QLD Pinto Championships and then Reserve Champion Pinto Mare at the 2006 Brisbane Royal. |
In 2003, we purchased our next show horse from Robyn Luck, Anazazi Stud. "Dazzling Sunrise" (Sunny) a 2001 Chestnut Overo 15.1hh Paint/Pinto Gelding.
A rare photo of Steve actually riding.
Sunny was put up for sale in 2007 and was purchased by Megan Scott and her family, who love him very much. They take him to the odd show and use him on many trail rides.
| Sunny was a very successful show horse for us, whilst being Pinto registered, he was our introduction to the Paint horse world.
|
In 2004, we again purchased a horse from our friend Robyn Luck. "Two Bears Integrity" (Bear) a 1998 Chestnut Tobero 14.3hh Paint/Pinto Mare. Originally only purchased as a broodmare, she was put back into the show ring after slipping her 2004 foal. And "WOW" What a decision. Bear is still with us and is enjoying retirement as a broodmare. Her first foal for us "ESS-J TUNZA GOLD" has gone onto to be a very successful show horse. She is currently in foal to LOOTS IMAGE for a 2009 foal. |
