Like so many, I was first introduced to beading and jewellery making after buying a beading magazine by chance. This has lead me on a journey of discovery, first seedbeads then lampworking. While researching lampworking I discovered the wire work of Connie Fox and Eni Oken and realised this is what I wanted to do. From a desire to make my own beads I started experimenting with polymer clay and more recently to be able to fabricate my own bits and pieces like pendants, findings and chains, silversmithing and the art of enamelling. I never did get back to the lampworking, maybe one day......
As mentioned, I greatly admire the works of Connie Fox, Eni Oken and Barbara Fajardo (polymer clay) and it is through their generosity with their knowledge by way of online tutorials that I was able to learn as I am mainly self taught. I also owe a great deal to Aussie artists such as DK Heath, Lynette Owen, Melanie Dilday, Bianca Velder and Lisa Gaze (my silversmith tutor) for their sharing of knowledge and encouragement.
All of the pieces you see are handcrafted by me, in my home studio in Rockhampton, Queensland Australia. I use mostly sterling silver sheet, beads, wire and findings, my own polymer clay beads and gemstones, although this is apt to change from time to time as I love to experiment.
So if you are looking for something different or to stand out from the crowd, you've come to the right place.
